The Narrative and Diversity Book Club is just one aspect of the Phoenix College of Medicine’s Program for Narrative Medicine and Health Care Humanities. The study of literature and stories lends itself to the dedication of the college to build a future of physicians with perspective. The goal of this club is to promote students at the COM to engage with texts and peers with different stories than those they have already encountered in an effort to build the skills necessary for connecting more deeply with patient narratives.
